At Kijani Forestry, we work with tens of thousands of farmers to restore forests, enhance livelihoods, and protect the environment. Our operations rely heavily on a diverse and dynamic fleet — including motorcycles, vehicles, and bicycles — to deliver impact across Northern Uganda.
We’re seeking a Fleet Manager to lead and optimize our fleet operations. This role demands strategic oversight, operational excellence, and a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and long-term planning.

How to Apply
Lead the strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development for all fleet operations.
Manage the acquisition, allocation, and lifecycle of vehicles, motorcycles, and bicycles.
Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or service.
Deploy and oversee fleet monitoring systems and use performance analytics to drive improvements.
Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers; ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety standards.
Supervise and mentor the fleet team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Oversee maintenance schedules, preventative care, and rapid response to incidents or breakdowns.
Provide regular reports on key fleet metrics, trends, and improvement strategies to senior leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in Transport & Logistics, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fleet management, preferably in large-scale or multi-site operations.
Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
Proven experience implementing systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency.
Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
Strong communication skills in English and excellent interpersonal abilities.
Willingness to travel regularly to operational sites across Northern Uganda.
