Job Description
IThis position is available on a fixed term contract which is renewable subject to funding and performance. We provide competitive and attractive salary and benefits. WaterAid Uganda is looking to fill the vacant position stated in this advert to play a vital role in our mission to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere by 2030.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include:
The Financial Accountant leads the routine financial accounting functions which includes ensuring proper maintenance of accounting records, administration of financial controls, production of financial reports, compliance with relevant statutory bodies and other functions that results in flawless internal and external audits. The roles support non-finance staff in planning, budget management and forecasting processes. The role supervisees the Finance Officer and Finance and supports the Finance Manager to implement effective and efficient financial controls within the context of the country strategy and objectives.
