Job Description
The Finance Officer II will be responsible for the daily financial transactions of the organization including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. The officer will assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, support internal departments with financial analysis, and ensure adherence to financial policies and compliance standards. This entry-level position offers fresh graduates the opportunity to build a foundation in finance within a dynamic industry.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Process day-to-day financial transactions (accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations)
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Assist in budget planning and financial forecasting
Monitor expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets
Liaise with banks and other financial institutions
Ensure financial compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements
Support internal departments with financial data and analysis
Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems and workflows
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting
0–2 years of experience in a finance role
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and strong MS Excel skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently
