Job Description
PEAS Uganda is seeking a detail oriented Finance Officer Grants to support effective and compliant grants management. The role will focus on accurate processing of grant related financial transactions preparation of donor financial reports maintenance of grant records and support to audits and project closeout activities.
The Finance Officer Grants will work closely with programme and finance teams to ensure grant funds are managed in line with donor requirements organisational policies and best practice.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Process grant related financial transactions and ensure accurate and timely recording
- Prepare timely and accurate project and donor financial reports
- Reconcile accounts receivable and track grant funding allocations and utilisation
- Support project budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
- Prepare journals verify accountabilities and manage project billing processes
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal financial controls
- Support audit processes and ensure readiness for internal and external audits
- Maintain proper financial documentation and archiving for grants and projects
- Support project closeout activities including financial reconciliations and reporting
