Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
Develop and implement financial strategies and long-term financial goals.
Prepare, monitor, and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
Collaborate with department heads to align budgets with organizational objectives.
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and internal controls.
Prepare and coordinate audits and respond to auditor queries.
Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Treasury and Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow to ensure operational efficiency and liquidity.
Oversee investment activities and financial reserves.
Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance.
Assign roles and responsibilities, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Financial Analysis:
Provide financial insights to support decision-making and business growth.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new projects or investments.
Monitor and report on financial performance against organizational objectives.
Systems and Process Improvement:
Implement and maintain financial management systems for efficiency and accuracy.
Streamline financial processes and recommend improvements.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Full member of ICPAU.
MBA, BCOM, BSA or BBA.
5+ years of experience, (3 years in Management).
Skills in financial management & accounting software (ERP).
Knowledge on taxation policies.
Experience working in a busy medical setting is an added advantage.
