Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary: The key purpose of this role is to lead the monthly business cycle for Uganda (monthly management reporting & forecasting process including Cash Flow and Zero-based Budgeting process).
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monthly Cycle:
Deliver FP&A Monthly Cycle to ensure all key performance deliverables are met.
Work with all relevant functions to gain a thorough understanding of business performance
Work with countries on key performance step change projects
Prepare presentation of monthly results for Country Mancom and presentation to the BU/Zone
Drive Finance Excellence Project to improve role of FP&A and support Business Units
Lead the optimization and improvement of standard management reporting across the Business Units include Revenue Management initiatives
Continuous digitization of the monthly cycle process
ZBB:
Responsible for Country Zone ZBB Management, and alignment with Procurement & Leads from the other functions (Marketing, Sales, Supply, People, Legal and Corporate Affairs, etc).
Perform overall review of ZBB Packages for the Country at month end to understand variances across packages. Deep-dive overruns (if any) to determine if any synergies/budget is at risk. Understand reasons for savings. Prepare month end ZBB deck for presentation to Country, BU and Zone.
Perform Latest Estimate (LE) process for the Country monthly for submission to Zone. Collate risks and determine if any savings are bankable.
Conduct annual ZBB business cycle for the Country. Develop 1YP and budget base assumptions: – Combine recent performance and benchmarks with planned initiatives to build base assumptions – Develop and continuously improve model at a comprehensive level of detail – Link business KPIs expected evolution to financial targets – Track major project initiatives and report impact to 1YP / budget costs
Lead ZBB deliverables with different stakeholders such as Country Package Owners and Procurement Teams at the Country, BU and Zone Level.
Drive the execution of ZBB in the Country i.e. policies localization and revision, initiatives tracking, tracking monitoring responsibilities, etc
Responsible for the overall delivery of Country ZBB initiatives with Finance, Package Owners.
Identify Best Practice in expenses management and share with BU
