Job Description
We are looking for a passionate, field-oriented Field Sales Agronomist to join our team and make a real impact in the agricultural sector.
Position Summary
The Field Sales Agronomist will be responsible for promoting Agrifarm’s products and services to farmers, agro-dealers, and partners. This role combines technical agronomy support with sales and customer relationship management to drive adoption of innovative agricultural solutions across assigned regions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Field Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell Agrifarm’s agricultural inputs and solutions in assigned territories.
- Identify new customers and business opportunities among farmers, cooperatives, and agro-dealers.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to company growth.
Agronomic Support & Training
- Provide technical advice and on-farm support to farmers on crop production, soil health, and best practices.
- Conduct field demonstrations, farm visits, and training sessions.
- Support product trials and collect field performance data.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and partners.
- Deliver excellent customer service and follow up on product performance and satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, field visits, and customer data.
- Prepare regular reports on market trends, competitor activity, and farmer needs.
- Provide feedback to management to improve products and services.
Teamwork & Compliance
- Work collaboratively with the sales and technical teams.
- Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and ethical practices.
- Represent Agrifarm Uganda professionally in all field engagements.
