Job Description
Reporting to the Program Manager – AIM, the Field Operations Manager will oversee field-level implementation of the flagship program under the Mastercard Foundation and BRAC International partnership. The incumbent will coordinate program activities, support recruitment and training of field staff, manage program monitoring systems, and ensure compliance with operational protocols. This position will also serve as a liaison between BRAC and community stakeholders while ensuring safeguarding standards are met.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Monitoring
Coordinate timely implementation of activity plans with program staff.
Oversee regional and local project rollout, including trainings and procurement.
Ensure service quality through internal monitoring and support supervision.
Strengthen program management information systems (MIS) and data collection.
Staff Recruitment & Training
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of field staff.
Manage staff training schedules, delivery, and capacity development.
Identify staff performance gaps and report operational concerns to Program Manager.
Procurement & Budget Oversight
Set procurement guidelines and ensure financial compliance during acquisitions.
Oversee distribution of inputs and resources to participants.
Coordination & Communication
Conduct monthly meetings and report issues to senior management.
Compile and submit timely project progress reports.
Facilitate field visits and coordinate learning events.
Maintain collaboration with technical staff and stakeholders at national level.
Safeguarding
Ensure protection from harm, abuse, or exploitation for all team members and beneficiaries.
Promote and implement safeguarding policies in all project areas.
Encourage incident reporting and compliance with safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Operations Management, Agriculture, International Development, Economics, Development Studies, or related field.
Experience
Minimum of 6 years managing field operations and large teams.
Experience with programs supporting ultra-poor communities, microfinance, agriculture, livelihoods, and women’s empowerment.
Strong background in staff training and partnership coordination.
Proven ability in monitoring, reporting, and compliance.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Ability to travel extensively within Ghana.
