About the Role

The Farm Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the farm, ensuring the efficient management of resources, staff, and adherence to good agricultural practices. The position requires a proactive and organized individual capable of coordinating research-related farming activities while maintaining high standards of productivity and sustainability.

How to Apply

  • Supervise, train, and mentor farm personnel, including technicians, laborers, and support staff.

  • Coordinate field research activities and trials in collaboration with researchers and other stakeholders.

  • Maintain effective communication with research teams and management to ensure that farm operations align with research objectives.

  • Oversee all aspects of crop production, including planting, irrigation, pest and disease management, and harvesting.

  • Supervise the maintenance and safe use of farm machinery and equipment.

  • Develop and manage the farm’s annual budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and compliance with financial guidelines.

  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports and updates to the Head of Farm Management, Country Representative, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Agricultural Engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in farm management, preferably within a research or institutional setting.

  • Strong knowledge of modern agricultural practices and farm machinery operation.

  • Excellent management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
