Job Description
The Assistant QA Manager will support the QA Manager in overseeing quality assurance operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining robust quality systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
The Assistant QA Manager will be responsible for supporting the QA Manager in the following areas:
- Support the QA Manager in managing day-to-day Quality Assurance operations, including supervision of QA Officers and coordination of departmental activities
- Oversee the review and approval of batch manufacturing records, deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and other quality documentation
- Participate in regulatory inspections and internal audits, ensuring timely response and closure of audit observations
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and quality systems aligned with GMP and regulatory requirements
- Support training and development initiatives to enhance GMP knowledge and promote a strong quality culture across the organization
- Monitor key quality metrics and ensure integrity of quality data and documentation
- Lead or support investigations and risk assessments to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as Quality Management System (QMS) digitalization, continuous improvement projects, and regulatory compliance programs
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Platform availability (uptime) for critical services (AD/DNS, virtualization, core apps).
- Backup success rate and restore test success rate for critical systems.
- Vulnerability remediation SLA compliance (critical/high findings).
- Audit findings closed within agreed timelines with evidence.
- Mean time to resolve (MTTR) for system incidents and reduction of recurring issues.
