Job Description
The Estates Manager is responsible for the management, supervision, and administration of the company’s estates and properties. The rote ensures proper land demarcation, resolution of plot-related issues, infrastructure maintenance, environmental management, budgeting, and reporting across all estates under the company’s portfolio.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual estate budgets covering repairs, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.
- Develop cost estimates for repairs and renovations of properties.
- Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
- Recommend cost-effective solutions for estate maintenance.
Reporting & Documentation
- Produce detailed monthly estate management reports covering: Plot status, Complaints resolved, Maintenance activities, and Budget utilization.
- Prepare annual operational and capital budgets for estate
Surveying & Plot Management
- Conduct field surveys to verify boundaries and confirm plot measurements.
- Locate and identify plots for clients during site visits.
- Re-install and verify boundary mark stones where displaced or missing.
- Ensure proper documentation and mapping of plots within estates.
- Liaise with surveyors and land authorities where necessary.
Client Support & Complaint Resolution
- Address client complaints related to plot boundaries, encroachment, and access roads.
- Investigate disputes and provide timely resolution in coordination with management.
- Maintain professional communication with clients during site inspections.
- Ensure proper handover and orientation of plots to clients.
Estate Infrastructure & Environmental Oversight
- Monitor access roads within estates and recommend repairs where necessary.
- Ensure unsettled plots are maintained in a clean, safe, and environmentally friendly condition.
- Supervise clearing, grading, and estate maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper drainage and environmental standards are upheld.
- Coordinate contractors handling repairs and estate improvements.
