Job Description
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of tractors and other hydraulic and earth-moving equipment. Key responsibilities include mowing lawns, slashing, and field operations using gang mowers. The role involves regular equipment checks, especially transmission and hydraulic systems, to ensure optimal performance and safety. The operator will also support other assigned tasks as directed by the supervisor and must demonstrate a strong commitment to equipment care and workplace safety.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operate tractors for mowing and other agricultural activities
Use earth-moving equipment such as slashers and gang mowers in the field
Check transmission levels before operating equipment
Maintain and ensure proper care of equipment
Operate hydraulic equipment safely and efficiently
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
O’ Level certificate
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a similar role
Trade Test III Certificate is an added advantage
Competencies:
Proven knowledge and skills in operating earth-moving and hydraulic equipment
Strong work ethic with a focus on task completion
Willingness to learn, unlearn, and adapt
Commitment to equipment maintenance and workplace safety
