About the Organisation

Uganda Muslim Medical Bureau (UMMB) is a national organization established by the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) in 1999 to coordinate activities of Uganda Muslim health facilities. UMMB has direct supervisory mechanism to ensure that health facilities under its jurisdiction abide by the guidelines and standards set by the Ministry of Health.

The Bureau coordinates the activities of all member health facilities and is the main link between these facilities, government, and other stakeholders.

Uganda Muslim Medical Bureau (UMMB) provides an exceptionally high level of care for our network staff and equal opportunity organization, Established by Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) to coordinate activities of Muslim founded private not for profit (PNFP) Health facilities and is the main link between these facilities, government, and other stakeholders. We have a very well respected staff and use cutting edge health technology.

Job Description

Job Title:  Enrolled Midwife (Fresher Jobs)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality midwifery care, including prenatal, delivery, and postnatal services.

  • Conduct health education and counseling for mothers and families.

  • Ensure adherence to safe clinical practices and hygiene protocols.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and reports.

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

  • Any other role as it may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Must be a certified and registered Enrolled Midwife with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.

  • At least 1 year of experience in midwifery or a related field.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Commitment to professional ethics and patient-centered care.
