Job Description
Job Title: Education Officer
Organisation: Nurture Africa (NA)
Duty Station: Wakiso, Uganda
Job Summary:
He/She is responsible for ensuring that activities align with sponsorship guidelines, submitting quarterly work plans, budgets and preparing monthly reports on time. The officer will collaborate with the Ministry of Education to explore partnerships and draft MOUs for collaborations.
He/She will maintain a digital database of sponsored students, maintain contact with beneficiaries, renew MOUs with partner schools, and oversee student attendance, performance, and behaviour. Meet with parents, guardians, school management committee members, and local government representatives. He/She will be responsible for resource mobilisation and administration work.

How to Apply
Ensure activities align with sponsorship guidelines
Submit quarterly work plans and budgets punctually
Collaborate with the Ministry of Education to identify partnerships
Draft Memoranda of Understanding for collaborations, including partner schools
Prepare monthly reports on activities
Maintain a digital database of sponsored students.
Communicate regularly with beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
Oversee student attendance, performance, and behaviour.
Meet with parents, guardians, school management committee, and local authorities
Networking, resource mobilisation, including proposal writing
Qualification and experience: Degree in Education, or Social work, or Business Administration with 5 years of experience in the education sector and at least 2 years in a leadership position.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, guardian/parents, school administration, the local authority and Ministry Departments.
Compassion and Calmness: Compassionate and calm in high-pressure situations.
Leadership: Good leadership skills, including the ability to contribute to decision-making and team planning.
Professionalism: Adherence to guidelines set by the Education bodies / Institutions and the professional standards and regulatory requirements set by the Ministry of Education.
