Job Description
The Driver will be responsible for:
Safely transporting project staff and goods to and from designated locations.
Performing basic maintenance of project vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
Preparing travel authorizations, fuel requests, service requests, and repair documentation.
Keeping stock of spare parts and monitoring fuel usage.
Assisting in project activities and procurement as needed.
Ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles.
Adhering to traffic regulations and safety guidelines.
Reporting any vehicle defects or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive project staff and transport goods as directed.
Conduct basic maintenance and routine checks on project vehicles.
Prepare and manage travel documentation, fuel, and service requests.
Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, repairs, and maintenance.
Support project activities, including purchases and logistics, as required.
Ensure proper stock management of spare parts and fuel.
Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment.
Report any incidents or vehicle issues promptly.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Essential Qualifications:
Ordinary Level education with a good command of the English language.
Valid driving license with classes B and DL.
Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience.
Basic computer skills and the ability to use standard computing packages.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certificate in defensive driving and a course in mechanics.
Experience working with non-governmental organizations.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
