Our client, a reputable company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a qualified and dependable Driver & Appliance Installer to join their team in Uganda.
Job Summary
The Driver & Appliance Installer will be responsible for the safe delivery and professional installation of home appliances at customer locations. This dual-role position involves both transportation and on-site installation while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to safety standards.

1. Delivery Operations
Safely transport appliances from the warehouse or showroom to customer premises.
Ensure proper handling and secure loading/unloading of goods to avoid damage.
Confirm delivery details and obtain customer acknowledgments upon completion.
2. Appliance Installation
Install and set up various home appliances including fridges, cookers, washing machines, and TVs.
Make basic connections to power, water, or gas sources where applicable.
Perform initial tests to confirm functionality and proper setup.
Guide customers on usage and basic maintenance procedures.
3. Customer Relations
Provide professional, courteous service during deliveries and installations.
Address basic inquiries and escalate technical issues to the appropriate team.
Report any customer feedback, complaints, or installation challenges promptly.
4. Vehicle Maintenance & Reporting
Conduct daily checks of the delivery vehicle (fuel, tires, fluids, etc.).
Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and in roadworthy condition at all times.
Maintain accurate delivery and mileage logs.
5. Safety & Compliance
Comply with traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
Ensure safe handling of heavy appliances and proper use of tools/equipment.
Secure tools and materials after each task to avoid loss or damage.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivery driving; experience with appliances or electronics is an added advantage.
Basic technical knowledge of appliance installation (electrical and plumbing connections).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy appliances.
Problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently.
High attention to detail and time management.
