Job Description
The Director of Studies (DOS) is responsible for overseeing the academic program of the school. The role focuses on curriculum implementation, instructional quality, teacher supervision, examinations, and continuous improvement in student performance in line with UNEB and MoES standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee academic planning, curriculum implementation, and instructional quality.
- Monitor teacher performance, lesson preparation, and adherence to schemes of work.
- Lead assessment, examinations, and academic performance analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student achievement.
- Coordinate academic timetabling and subject department activities.
- Support teacher mentorship, coaching, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with UNEB, MoES, and curriculum requirements.
- Maintain accurate academic records, reports, and performance tracking systems.
