Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and forecasting the inventory levels of consumables and spare parts based on the production and maintenance schedules, demand trends, and supplier lead times.
Coordinating with the procurement, production, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery, storage, and distribution of consumables and spare parts.
Monitoring and controlling the inventory accuracy, quality, and safety of consumables and spare parts, and conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
Implementing and enforcing inventory policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize inventory performance and minimize inventory-related risks and costs.
Analyzing inventory data and reports to identify inventory issues, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, and recommending appropriate actions and solutions.
Supervising, training, and evaluating the performance of the inventory staff, and providing them with guidance and support.

Qualifications and Competencies
The qualifications required for this role are:
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
At least five years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the steel industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
Proficient in inventory management software, ERP systems, MS Office, and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of inventory management principles, standards, and best practices.
