Job Description
The Deputy Headteacher works closely with the Headteacher to provide leadership in academic and administrative matters. The role focuses on staff supervision, student discipline, curriculum delivery, and maintaining a positive and effective learning environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher in school leadership, administration, and academic oversight.
- Supervise teaching staff, ensuring curriculum delivery meets required standards.
- Manage student discipline, welfare, and school culture to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Coordinate academic and extracurricular programs, ensuring holistic student development.
- Monitor lesson planning, assessment practices, and classroom performance.
- Step in as Acting Headteacher in the absence of the Headteacher.
- Contribute to school planning, reporting, and policy implementation.
- Support parent engagement and communication.
