Job Description
Reporting to senior operations leadership, the Depot Manager oversees daily production planning to meet demand, maintains rigorous stock controls and reconciliations, manages inbound/outbound flows and dispatch documentation, optimizes fleet utilization and delivery schedules, enforces SOPs and safety regulations, and coordinates closely with Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics. The role develops staff capability, drives cost and loss prevention initiatives, and delivers timely operational reporting and KPIs.

Oversee daily depot operations: production planning, warehousing, logistics, and dispatch.
Maintain accurate stock records, conduct cycle counts/reconciliations, and prevent losses.
Ensure complete, accurate documentation for stock, dispatch, and deliveries.
Optimize fleet/vehicle usage, fuel consumption, routing, and delivery timetables.
Lead and coach a multidisciplinary depot team; manage performance and compliance.
Enforce SOPs, quality, and health & safety regulations.
Prepare routine operational reports and liaise with Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
5+ years’ depot/warehouse/logistics leadership experience in manufacturing/FMCG.
Strong knowledge of stock management systems and dispatch operations; regulatory compliance.
Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/CRM systems.
Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
