To coordinate, plan, implement, moderate and control the declaration activities [Customs Brokerage] in the most professional and economical ways to ensure smooth and systematic execution of related activities and clients satisfaction of the company to achieve the overall objective of the department.

Data capturing in to Asycuda system;
Customs brokerage services, to perform declaration of import and export entries;
Proper documents management, operations related licensing requirements and bond managements;
Follow up of assessment with URA and other stake holders like UNBS, Enforcement, MAAIF etc;
Ensure proper execution of customs brokerage activities to for timely processing of customs related activities;
Ensure proper documentation and records management are in place for effective accountability;
Preform cargo tracking update accordingly customers and supervisor;
Should be able to work under pressure and should follow up the implementation and compliance with all approved policies and procedures in the department;
Knowledge of East Africa external common tariff and Asycuda system for data entry/capturing;
Actively take part and contribute in all management and department performance;
Any other duties assigned by your Supervisor/Line Manager

Should have Skills to create, manage and coordinate work in the field and URA system;
Skills to analyze and fix issues arising from time to time;
The ability to understand customer needs and desires.

Work under minimum supervision with good focus for self-targets;
Excellent communication skills with good leadership and supervisory attributes
Reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Good presentation and communication skills
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate or Diploma in clearing and forwarding;
Must hold a EACFFPC Certificate (East African Customs and Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate);
Should have at least 1-3 years of experience in clearing and forwarding practice;
