Job Description
The data scientist will report to manager data & insights and will be based at Head Office. He /she will be responsible for developing advanced analytics and machine learning models that extract meaningful insights from data, enabling data-driven decision-making across the Bank. The Data Scientist transforms business challenges into data problems and provides strategic insight using diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include.
- Develop predictive models, classification algorithms, and clustering techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Use statistical techniques and machine learning to detect trends, risks, and opportunities
- Translate analytical findings into actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with departments to define key questions and provide recommendations that support decision-making.
- Design and evaluate experiments (A/B testing, simulations, etc.) to test hypotheses and optimize outcomes.
- Use optimization and simulation models to recommend process improvements.
- Partner with the data engineer to source, clean, and prepare datasets for modeling.
- Design features from structured and unstructured data sources to improve model performance.
- Create dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar tools to visualize patterns, trends, and insights.
- Present complex analysis in simple, executive-ready formats
