Job Description
The role will focus on managing and analyzing data files, identifying and resolving data quality issues, and supporting the integrity of TransUnion’s data systems. Responsibilities include handling complex data investigations, conducting detailed analysis using SQL and BI tools, supporting data providers to ensure accurate reporting, troubleshooting data queries, and participating in data-related projects. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, Legal, and Analytics to ensure high-quality data uploads, compliance with internal standards, continuous improvement of data processes, and successful execution of business initiatives. The role also includes performing user acceptance testing (UAT), completing technical documentation, and optimizing data workflows.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Research and resolve complex data queries and provide timely solutions
Analyze and validate data files to identify and correct data deficiencies
Communicate resolutions of data or process issues to internal and external stakeholders
Review data processing routines and recommend improvements
Respond to inquiries from customers, partners, and internal teams regarding data and reporting
Use SQL, Ab Initio, Tableau/Power BI and other tools for in-depth data analysis
Monitor and advise clients on improving data quality and upload processes
Participate in internal and legislative-driven data projects
Conduct UAT to validate project outcomes
Provide accurate reporting and feedback to management on assigned tasks
Collaborate across departments and support team initiatives
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analysis or a related field
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Excel
Strong SQL skills
Experience with Python/R (preferred)
Experience with Tableau/Power BI
Understanding of data management and processing systems
Key Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Ability to work across multiple teams and manage stakeholder expectations
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Adaptability, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
