Job Description
The Cyber Offense Intern will work closely with the cybersecurity team to support red team simulations, penetration testing exercises, and vulnerability assessments. The intern will participate in reconnaissance activities, learn and apply offensive security tools and methodologies, and document findings under supervision. This role provides the opportunity to sharpen technical skills, gain exposure to real-world attack scenarios, and understand how adversarial tactics are used to strengthen cybersecurity defenses.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in reconnaissance and controlled information gathering on target systems.
Support vulnerability scanning and prepare documentation of findings.
Learn and apply penetration testing techniques for web applications, networks, and endpoints under supervision.
Research and document common exploits and attack techniques, such as OWASP Top 10 and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Help build and maintain cybersecurity lab environments for offensive testing.
Participate in red team simulations, assisting in attack chain documentation.
Document findings and contribute to technical reports for internal review.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (students and recent graduates encouraged to apply).
No prior work experience required.
Skills & Competencies:
Foundational knowledge of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cybersecurity basics.
Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Strong interest in ethical hacking, penetration testing, and red teaming.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
Familiarity with ethical hacking platforms (TryHackMe, HackTheBox) or relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP labs) is an added advantage.
Ability to follow strict ethical and professional guidelines.
