About the Role:
Pride Bank Uganda is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Credit Supervisor – Monitoring & Reporting to support credit risk management efforts at the Head Office. Reporting to the Credit Administration Manager, the role is critical in overseeing the performance, quality, and compliance of the credit portfolio while ensuring timely preparation of credit, financial, and statutory reports in alignment with the Credit Policy and departmental objectives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Analyze the performance of the credit portfolio and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Oversee identification and processing of credit facilities eligible for write-off in coordination with branches and prepare reports for management approval.
Conduct credit risk assessments, identify risk drivers, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Address Management Information System (MIS) issues raised by branches and coordinate resolution with the BT department and branch teams.
Prepare and account for stress testing calculations to assess the portfolio's resilience under adverse conditions.
Monitor and analyze changes in the risk profile of various credit portfolios and report findings to management.
Respond to customer complaints escalated from branches and customer service.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors, review audit reports, escalate findings, and ensure timely resolution.
Prepare credit management, finance, and statutory reports in line with policy requirements.
Generate loan loss provision reports, including both subjective and objective provisions and cash flow estimates for non-performing loans.
Prepare credit guarantee reports for donor partners and ensure timely submissions as required.
Review MIS critical reports, identify anomalies, and follow up with branches to ensure resolution.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Business, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred).
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in credit operations within a financial institution.
Prior supervisory experience in a financial institution is an added advantage.
In-depth understanding of credit risk management and portfolio monitoring.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and cultural boundaries.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
