Job Title: Credit Manager

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and grow existing relationships to increase revenue and market share.

  • Account Management: Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely and effective delivery of products and services.

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments to understand clients’ financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products and services, including loans, deposits, investments, and insurance.

  • Sales and Marketing: Promote financial products and services to clients, leveraging marketing campaigns and sales strategies.

  • Credit Analysis: Analyze credit reports, financial statements, and other data to assess clients’ creditworthiness and make informed lending decisions.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, providing timely updates, resolving issues, and addressing concerns.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree: In a related field, such as business, finance, marketing, or economics.

  • Professional Certifications: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other relevant certifications.

  • Relevant Coursework: Courses in finance, accounting, marketing, and business management.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-5 Years: Of experience in a related field, such as banking, finance, or sales.

  • Progressive Experience: Progressively responsible experience in relationship management, sales, or business development.

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of financial products and services.

  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading or managing a team, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Key Skills:

  • Communication and Interpersonal: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Sales and Marketing: Strong sales and marketing skills, with the ability to promote financial products and services.
