Job Description
The Credit Officer / Marketing Executive will be tasked with identifying potential clients for loan products, conducting thorough credit assessments, facilitating disbursement processes, and monitoring post-disbursement loan usage. The role also includes ensuring timely repayments, maintaining low portfolio-at-risk (PAR), preparing credit reports, and promoting financial literacy among clients. The successful candidate will uphold client confidentiality and ensure compliance with all institutional and regulatory standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Source and onboard clients for the bank’s group and individual loan products.
Conduct credit assessments through field visits, business reviews, and reference checks.
Evaluate loan applications and provide appropriate credit recommendations.
Ensure proper loan documentation, approval processes, and timely disbursement.
Monitor client loan usage and offer post-disbursement support.
Track repayment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts.
Maintain a quality loan portfolio with acceptable portfolio-at-risk (PAR) levels.
Prepare and submit periodic credit reports for internal reviews.
Educate clients on financial literacy, repayment structures, and loan terms.
Ensure strict adherence to client confidentiality and organizational policies.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor's Degree or HND in a relevant field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit, lending, or financial services.
Strong marketing and communication skills.
Good understanding of credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools.
