Job Description
To operate marine vessels in safe and effective manner and ensure the safety of passengers
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Anchoring and de-anchoring the vesse
- Operating and steering the boat/ ferry
- Providing safety of passengers, property and vehicles on Board
- Keeping and maintaining records and logbooks / sheets for all trips
- Providing routine checks of fuel/ oil and other working tools
- Maintaining the vessel in a good mechanical condition and ensure its cleanliness
- Reporting any observed navigational hazards
- Following safety procedures in order to ensure the protection of passengers, cargo and vessels
- Issuing directions for loading, unloading and seating in boats
