About the Role
We are looking for a results-oriented, strategic, and hands-on Commercial Manager to lead our sales and commercial operations in Uganda. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key relationships, and developing innovative commercial strategies to grow market share and customer base across multiple cities.
The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings experience managing high-performing teams with a deep understanding of emerging markets—particularly in the automotive, e-commerce, or FMCG industries.

Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies to grow revenue and market share.
Identify and acquire high-value clients including corporate accounts and high-net-worth individuals.
Drive the commercial viability of products and services by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and sales performance.
Develop and manage a high-performing sales team across multiple locations.
Cultivate and manage key customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term business retention.
Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, operations) to enhance the customer journey.
Oversee the successful launch of new products and services, ensuring alignment with market demands.
Monitor key commercial KPIs including sales targets, profitability, and customer engagement.
Conduct regular customer and partner feedback sessions to ensure service delivery excellence.
Analyze commercial data and present actionable insights to leadership.
Champion a customer-first mindset while maintaining focus on financial performance.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ work experience, with at least 7 years in sales/commercial leadership.
Proven track record in automotive, FMCG, e-commerce, or other high-growth, customer-focused industries.
Experience managing multiple teams and regions is essential.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially savvy with deep understanding of market dynamics.
Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Data-driven with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience with CRM and business analytics tools.
