Job Description

To support the coffee purchasing team by assisting in sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring high-quality coffee beans. The role involves collaborating with suppliers, conducting market research, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely deliveries, while adhering to company standards and sustainability goals.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

(The main responsibilities for which the job holder is accountable)

  • Adequate Knowledge of the coffee supply chain / experience in Ugandan coffee
  • Knowledge of the coffee Market traits.
  • Doing coffee surveys in different regions.
  • Ensuring that the company buys good quality coffee both the graded, Faqs and Arabica coffee.
  • Acquiring suppliers that can sell quality coffee to Ibero.
  • Handling Suppliers from the time they deliver coffee to the time they are paid.
  • Entering coffee purchase details into a centralized system (XBS)
  • Ensuring purchase data integrity and consistency.
  • Negotiating with the clients on price and deductions.
  • Updating coffee purchase reports every time purchases are made.
  • Writing Reports and sharing them in a timely manner.
  • Preparing payment documents and submitting them for payments.
  • Ensuring that all the coffee purchased has been entered into the storage facilities.
