Reports To: Team Leader – Inventory
We are currently seeking a qualified Clerk – Raw Materials to join our team at the Rwenzori Plant in Kampala.
Purpose of the Role
The Clerk – Raw Materials is responsible for ensuring that all stock of packaging materials and related inventory is received, issued, stored, and recorded accurately in line with company procedures and standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee and control packaging materials and related stock items.
Accurately receive, issue, and store raw materials according to SOPs.
Perform daily, monthly, and annual stock counts.
Ensure real-time data entry and posting of all stock transactions in the ERP system.
Monitor and reconcile stock levels to maintain zero variance.
Track reorder levels and share timely updates with relevant teams.
Maintain compliance with housekeeping, health, safety, and quality standards.
Escalate any risks or hazards to the EOSH Coordinator.
Supervise loaders and ensure efficient handling of stock movement.
Manage and maintain proper documentation and records of inventory activities.
Collaborate with production, planning, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth material flow.
Participate in the implementation of the food safety management system.
Report any concerns related to food safety, defense, or fraud to the designated team leader (SHEQ Manager).
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of operational experience in inventory or stores management, preferably in an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
Key Competencies

Understanding of stores and inventory management principles
Excellent document management and organizational skills
Knowledge of compliance, governance, and ethical standards
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
