Position Title: Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Role Overview
The COO will play a pivotal leadership role, overseeing day-to-day operations, aligning strategic initiatives, and driving operational excellence. This is a senior leadership position requiring strong cross-functional coordination, execution ability, and a deep understanding of manufacturing operations within the FMCG or food industry.

How to Apply
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the organization.
Develop and implement operational strategies to support business goals.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Process Optimization & Digital Transformation
Champion digital transformation initiatives to enhance process automation and data utilization.
Identify and implement process improvements across departments.
Performance, Risk & Budget Management
Set performance targets, track KPIs, and lead performance reviews across all operational units.
Manage operational budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
Identify and mitigate operational risks.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Oversee quality control and assurance across the supply chain and manufacturing units.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Finance, HR (People & Culture), Sales & Marketing, IT, Procurement, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Operational efficiency and strategy implementation
Revenue growth and market share expansion
Customer acquisition and retention metrics (e.g., CAC, retention rate)
Regulatory compliance
Team leadership and staff development
Successful implementation of digital and process improvements
Budget adherence and cost optimization
Technical Competencies
Proven success in a senior operations or COO role within manufacturing, preferably in the FMCG or food industry.
Strong background in data analysis, performance reporting, and business strategy.
Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
Advanced understanding of quality control, compliance, supply chain management, and process optimization.
Familiarity with CRM systems, Google Analytics, and digital operational tools.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the FMCG or food industry.
Professional certification in Project Management or a related field is an added advantage.
