Join Our Team
Avolio Uganda is seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency across the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local and international standards.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Manage relationships and transactions with financial institutions, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of donor and grant reports.
Maintain and update the fixed asset register; generate annual asset and depreciation reports.
Coordinate and support external audits, liaising effectively with auditors.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to support organizational growth.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or a Master's degree is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and grant/ donor fund management.
Skills & Competencies
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor finance teams.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
