Malteser International is looking for a motivated Centre Manager- Suubi Rehabilitation Centre – National Position.
As the Centre Manager - Suubi Rehabilitation Centre, you will take full control of the partner to develop them into a self-reliant community-based organization(CBO) with fully capacitated board Of Directors and management of the current mothers and children
Your responsibilities:
Assisting the partner organization to develop them into a self-reliant Community Based Organization (CBO)
Creating new partnership with Lubaga Hospital to send physiotherapists more regularly and ensuring all children receive enough sessions per week to achieve real improvements
Systematically develop ideas for improved physiotherapy, social support, and income-generating activities
Explore starting a medical scheme for the children and families, checking on medical insurance, and carrying out a need assessment on existing specialized schools in and around Kampala
Developing strategic partnerships with partners to benefit and grow Suubi Rehabilitation Centre
Your profile:
Degree in Business Development, Development Studies, Social Work, or Community Development
Three years of experience in a similar position; experience with child services is an added advantage
Proven experience in growing a CBO
Knowledge of special needs and disability policies & laws in the country
Understanding of advocacy, policy, and government systems, with some experience in child rights programming being an added advantage
Strong skills and proven experience in leading strategic planning, change management, governance structure, and program management processes
Strong skills and proven experience in new program development, project design, and proposal writing with corporate, foundations, and/or institutional donors
Fluency in Luganda is a must
What we offer:
Start Date: Immediately
Duty Station: Kampala
Duration of contract: 1 year with possible extension subject to donor funding
Salary according to qualification and experience, insurance package,13th pay cheque experience, insurance package.
