Job Description
Douglas Events is seeking 7 Business Development Associates to join the team for the Uganda Real Estate and Housing Expo 2026. The role involves identifying, developing, and managing partnerships and sponsorships, driving exhibitor engagement, and supporting sales initiatives to ensure a successful event. This position requires proactive, results-driven professionals capable of building relationships with senior decision-makers across multiple sectors.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and engage potential exhibitors, sponsors, and partners for the expo.
- Promote the event and communicate the value proposition to potential clients.
- Develop tailored proposals and partnership packages to meet client needs.
- Achieve assigned sales targets for exhibitor space, sponsorships, and partnerships.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients and partners, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction.
- Support post-event follow-ups to maintain long-term business relationships.
Market Research & Strategy
- Research the real estate, housing, construction, and corporate sectors to identify opportunities.
- Provide insights on market trends and competitor activities to support strategy.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of leads, contacts, and interactions.
Event Support
- Collaborate with the events and marketing team to ensure smooth execution of the expo.
- Assist in coordinating meetings, presentations, and promotional activities with exhibitors and partners.
- Support administrative tasks related to partnerships and client onboarding.
