Job Description
Reporting to the Business Change Manager, the Business Analyst will anticipate departmental needs within the context of the Bank’s strategy and align them with business objectives. The role involves eliciting, documenting, and analyzing requirements, coordinating solution development, problem-solving, and confirming delivery of business solutions. The Business Analyst will also play a key role in innovation, process management, and ensuring that technological changes align with operational realities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Anticipate and align departmental needs with the Bank’s strategic objectives.
Translate business needs into functional requirements and communicate them effectively to development teams and stakeholders.
Elicit functional, non-functional, and technical requirements from stakeholders to identify risks and project premises.
Conduct research and interact with current and future end-users to factor in technological changes when defining requirements.
Perform detailed analysis to define, document, and clarify project scope.
Create and use key project documents, including requirements management plans, use cases, user stories, and vision documents.
Coordinate problem-solving engagements to address challenges and constraints during project implementation.
Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to identify innovative solutions that optimize resources.
Confirm that delivered solutions meet documented business requirements before communicating results to stakeholders.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, Commerce, Accounting, Business Statistics, or a related field.
Professional certification in Business Analysis (CCBA, CBAP) or Project Management (Agile, PRINCE II, PMP) required.
Six Sigma Lean Green Belt is an advantage.
Experience:
At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with 3 years in business analysis, change management, operations, or technology roles in financial services or FinTech.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of financial technology, process management, and innovation.
Ability to link technical systems with business needs.
Knowledge of project management methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Leadership, negotiation, facilitation, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Cultural and political awareness, with a strong inquisitive and questioning mindset.
