Job Description
The Bursar is responsible for overseeing all financial management functions of the school, including budgeting, accounting, revenue collection, expenditure control, and financial reporting. The role supports school leadership with sound financial planning and compliance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage school finances, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure transparent financial records and adherence to audit and compliance standards.
- Oversee fee collection, banking, and revenue management.
- Control procurement, inventory, and expenditure to ensure cost efficiency.
- Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and budget performance reports.
- Advise school leadership on financial planning and sustainability.
- Monitor payroll, staff payments, and statutory obligations.
- Ensure proper financial documentation and internal controls.
