Job Description
The Bilingual Site Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating day-to-day construction activities while ensuring adherence to timelines, safety requirements, and quality standards. The role requires fluency in both English and French to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients and consultants. The successful candidate must be adaptable to work in a Francophone country and capable of resolving site challenges promptly. Responsibilities also include preparing progress reports, monitoring material usage, overseeing procurement and delivery processes, and ensuring project schedules remain on track.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, subcontractors, and workers.
Lead, motivate, and monitor site workforce to ensure productivity.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Develop, track, and update project schedules.
Provide regular progress reports to management.
Oversee procurement, delivery, and proper use of construction materials and equipment.
Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders for smooth project execution.
Resolve on-site challenges promptly and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience:
3–5 years of proven site supervision/management experience within civil engineering or construction projects.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Hands-on experience in site material procurement.
Other Requirements:
Valid visa and willingness to relocate/work in a Francophone country.
Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
