Bank of India Uganda Limited was registered in Uganda in 2011 and the license was granted to by Bank of Uganda on 13.03.2012 under Financial Institution Act, 2004. Bank of India (Uganda) Limited officially started operations on 18th -June-2012 by opening its first branch in Kampala-Uganda. We have bouquet of personal and corporate banking, Instant Fund Transfers and lucrative Foreign Exchange products which can be further be customized to satisfy customer requirements.

Job Opportunity: Banking Supervisor – Credit

Job Summary
Bank of India Uganda is seeking a qualified and experienced Banking Supervisor – Credit to manage the credit process, including the preparation, review, and disbursement of loan proposals in line with approved terms and conditions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare and review loan proposals, submitting them to the appropriate authority for recommendation or approval.
Ensure disbursements align with sanctioned terms and conditions.
Analyze borrowers’ financial status, creditworthiness, and property evaluations to assess loan feasibility.
Explain loan products, credit options, and terms to customers.
Manage account opening, limit setting, and other tasks in the Finacle system.
Gather and compile financial documents, credit histories, and corporate statements from applicants.
Coordinate with legal advisors and valuers to expedite required processes.
Review and maintain updated loan files.
Conduct pre-sanction and post-sanction inspections and prepare detailed reports.
Manage and monitor loan portfolios regularly.
Supervise and guide junior staff under your department.
Monitor loan accounts and follow up on recoveries.
Open LCs, Guarantees, and loan accounts as per approved terms.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required reports to the relevant authorities.
Follow up on post-disbursement conditions until closure.
Collect applicable charges (e.g., CRB fees, guarantee/LC fees).
Perform any other duties assigned by management as needed.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field from a recognized institution.
Strong computer literacy is essential.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a credit department of a bank.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.

Additional Requirements
Must be willing to work from any branch of Bank of India (U) Ltd.
Role involves long hours of sitting.
Preferred age: Below 40 years. However, management reserves the right to consider candidates outside this range based on qualifications and experience.
