Job Description

The Trade Developer expands aftersales reach by generating and converting leads, executing territory plans, and meeting revenue and SKU expansion targets. The role manages dealer performance, enforces CRM usage and route plans, escalates customer issues, coordinates marketing activations (roadshows/market storms), and delivers timely reports and dashboards. It gathers market intelligence on competitors and customer needs to inform parts/service offerings and continuous process improvements.

  • Drive sell-out sales and SKU expansion; manage funnel conversion rates.

  • Plan territory, monitor dealer performance, and enforce sales policies/CRM discipline.

  • Engage customers via forums, feedback loops, and new product communications; escalate issues promptly.

  • Produce daily target/achievement collation; weekly dashboards; monthly trend analyses and action plans.

  • Track and report competitor activity; surface customer insights for new parts/services.

  • Plan and execute ground activations: roadshows, market storms, and local promotions.

  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen dealer aftersales delivery.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  1. Education & Experience

  2. Diploma or Bachelor’s in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering (or related).

  3. KCSE grade C– or higher.

  4. ≥1 year in outdoor sales/marketing/promotions/merchandising/brand ambassadorship.

  5. Understanding of motor vehicle parts & service is an added advantage.
