Job Description
Reporting to the Audit Manager/Partners, the Audit Senior will plan, execute, and finalize audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and firm methodology. The role includes scoping engagements, assessing risks, testing internal controls and substantive areas, reviewing working papers and client deliverables, and ensuring timely, high-quality reporting. The Audit Senior will liaise with client management, identify process and control improvements, prepare management letters, and mentor junior team members to build technical capability and uphold quality standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with ISA and firm methodology.
Develop audit plans, risk assessments, and testing strategies; allocate and manage team workloads.
Perform and review substantive procedures and controls testing across key account balances and processes.
Review draft financial statements for compliance with IFRS and relevant local regulations.
Prepare clear, concise audit reports and management letters with practical recommendations.
Supervise, coach, and review work of junior team members; provide on-the-job training and feedback.
Maintain professional independence while building strong client relationships and managing expectations.
Monitor deadlines, budgets, and engagement quality; escalate issues promptly.
Stay current on accounting/auditing standards and share updates with the team.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or ACCA (finalist or member).
3–5 years’ external audit experience in a reputable firm.
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and audit methodology.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office.
High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
