Job Description
The Audio Production Intern will support the production team with the creation of on-air content and brand imaging. This includes assisting with scripting, voice directing, general studio operations, and on-the-ground audio recordings (VOX pops). The intern will have access to industry-standard equipment and software, and will be exposed to the full audio production workflow. The role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-performance team and build a strong foundation in professional audio and radio production.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with on-air content and brand imaging productions
Learn to interpret scripts and assist with voice directing
Record VOX pops and manage field audio capture
Support daily operations of the production department
Operate and maintain studio equipment and software
Collaborate with the team to foster a high-performance culture
Stay informed on global media and audio production trends
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Sound Engineering (Production focus)
Radio Production qualification (advantageous)
Code 08 Driver’s License
Proficiency in audio software, particularly Pro Tools
Familiarity with Mac systems
Understanding of studio equipment and audio technologies
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Competencies:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent research skills
Ability to follow and execute scripts
Team player with the ability to work independently
Highly motivated, deadline-driven, and creative
Passion for radio and sound production
