Associate - Cyber Security job at BDO East Africa
BDO
An Associate in Cyber Security typically supports an organization's efforts to protect its computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring systems, and responding to security incidents.
Monitoring and Surveillance: Continuously monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus programs to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Incident Response: Assist in responding to security incidents by analyzing and mitigating threats, documenting incidents, and conducting post-incident analysis.
Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
Security Audits: Conduct internal security audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
Configuration Management: Ensure that security configurations for systems and devices are up-to-date and compliant with organizational policies.
Access Control: Manage user access controls, including the creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts and permissions.
Security Patching: Assist in the application of security patches and updates to operating systems, applications, and network devices.

Certification in cyber security is an added advantage.
