Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Applications Development (ICT Division), the Associate Applications Developer will gather system requirements, design, develop, and implement applications, as well as document, test, and maintain them. The role involves analyzing user issues, performing quality assurance testing, coordinating user acceptance testing, and ensuring system integration with databases and infrastructure. The Developer will also provide ongoing application support, resolve system issues, and ensure business continuity through proper backups and monitoring.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement in-house software applications based on system requirements.
Analyze reported system issues and provide timely solutions.
Prepare system documentation for all in-house applications.
Conduct QA testing for application modules before deployment.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business process teams.
Develop and support system integration interfaces.
Collaborate with the infrastructure and database teams to ensure data backup and continuity.
Monitor application availability and resolve user-reported system issues.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
University degree in Computer Science or Information Sciences, OR minimum Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
Professional qualifications in Systems Analysis and Design desirable.
Microsoft or Oracle professional certifications preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting programming/intranet environments with business application support.
At least 2 years’ programming experience in .NET, Microsoft .NET technologies, Oracle RDBMS, and SQL Server.
Skills & Competencies:
Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies for web and mobile application development.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and integration skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or in teams.
Strong communication and liaison skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Good customer service orientation and results-driven mindset.
Professional grooming, attention to detail, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
