Job Description
Job Title: Associate- Wealth Management Operations
Organisation: I&M Bank Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Country Manager/ Head Investment Advisor
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Unit trust operations including client account opening, client purchases and withdrawals.
Offshore securities processing and update of transaction on I&M Capital’s transaction processing system.
Local market trades processing which includes but not limited to treasury bonds and bills.
Archiving of client agreements and other documents
Ensure unit trust statements and client reports are generated and delivered to clients within agreed frequency and in a timely manner.
Management of client queries/ enquires and complaints with the assistance.
Carry out daily bank account and stock reconciliations and clearance of outstanding items within stipulated timelines.
Ensure all system upgrades are managed in accordance with policy; all upgrades are tested and documented.
Ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures while processing transactions.
Assist in collation of information required for regulatory reporting as may be required from time to time.
Assist in collate of management information as required from time to time.
Carry out office administration functions are required by the Country Manager/ Head Investment Advisor.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A bachelor’s degree in any business-related field
Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments qualification (CISI)
Work Experience
At least two years’ Banking experience
Good knowledge of Wealth Management Operations
Good knowledge of local and offshore markets and trading procedures
Good knowledge of Client onboarding requirements and policies
Key Required Competencies & Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management skills & proactive in all aspects
Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work across functions
Initiative – must be a self-starter, able to work independently with drive and
motivation and able to perform optimally under pressure and with strict deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to learn new systems fast
