Job Title: Assistant Manager Operations

Job Summary:
Our Client, a company that provides a range of investment services, including private wealth management, unit trusts, and fund management. It offers investment solutions for individuals and institutions, with options to invest in various asset classes like money market, fixed income, and equities, aiming to help clients preserve and grow wealth
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
The role involves supporting the company’s operation’s strategy and enhancing overall business efficiency. The holder will be responsible for facilitating smooth business operations and efficient service delivery by ensuring accurate system transaction posting, timely payment processing, reconciliation and preparation of reports for the business and to the clients.
Oversee daily fund operations including trade processing, cash and position reconciliations, and settlements
Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, agents and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely execution
Monitor and validate Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and ensure accurate pricing of securities
Assist in onboarding new funds, clients, and investment products
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies
Review and enhance operational processes and controls to improve efficiency and reduce risk
Generate and review operational reports, dashboards, and MIS for internal and regulatory use
Support audits, regulatory inspections, and risk reviews
Liaise with portfolio managers, risk, compliance, and finance teams to ensure alignment across departments
Implement operational best practices and contribute to process automation or system upgrades
Ensure streamlined client servicing from a systems perspective (resolution of system support issues)
Support systems innovations and testing to enhance operation
Any other duties as many be assigned on a day to day basis.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Quantitative Economics or any other related field.
Details of experience
At least three (3) years of operations experience in Fund management or in a related Financial Services Institution.
Knowledge, skills and competences
Strong leadership and skills to foster teamwork; developing and motivating others.
Strong communication and presentation skills including ability to write reports and prepare relevant supporting documentation.
High level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, including ability to build alliances and collaborative relationships.
Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
Prior experience coordinating with third-party fund administrators or custodians.
Strong analytical, quantitative and creative thinking skills
Good customer relationship management skills (internal and external customers).
