Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the following vacancy in Yumbe District Local Government. Applications on PSC Form 3 (revised 2008) in triplicate, together with 3 recent coloured passport size photos copies of academic documents (transcripts and Certificates), National Identity Cards, Registration Certificate and other relevant documents should reach the Secretary, District Service Commission Yumbe, P.O. Box 1, Yumbe not later than 5th April 2024 (5:00 pm).

Hand written applications accompanied with curriculum vitae and all the above requirements can also be accepted. PSC Form 3 can be obtained from the Secretary DSC Yumbe, or any nearby District, or Public Service Commission, Kampala.

  • Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity, monitor for security breaches, and ensure the safety of people and property.

  • Access Control: Control access to facilities or restricted areas by checking identification, verifying credentials, and ensuring that only authorized individuals are permitted entry.

  • Monitoring Surveillance Systems: Use security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment to monitor for suspicious activity and respond promptly to any security breaches or alarms.

  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, alarms, or distress calls, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks, provide assistance, and ensure the safety of individuals.

  • Reporting Incidents: Document and report any security incidents, disturbances, or violations of policies or procedures to appropriate authorities or supervisors.

  • Crowd Control: Maintain order and crowd control during events, gatherings, or emergencies, directing individuals to safety and assisting with evacuations if necessary.

  • Customer Service: Provide assistance, directions, or information to visitors, employees, or customers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Alarm Response: Respond to security alarms, investigate the cause of the alarm, and take appropriate action to address any security concerns or breaches.

  • Asset Protection: Protect valuable assets, equipment, or merchandise from theft, vandalism, or damage by implementing security measures and protocols.

  • Locking and Securing: Ensure that buildings, doors, windows, and other access points are properly locked and secured during and after business hours.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, or emergency responders as needed to address security issues or incidents effectively.
