About the Role
The Administrative and Logistics Officer plays a key role in ensuring effective operations across SNV Uganda’s country and project offices. This role supports fleet management, facilities and asset oversight, inventory control, and administrative coordination to ensure smooth daily operations.
The position requires a detail-oriented, well-organised professional with strong planning, problem-solving, and coordination skills. The officer reports directly to the Country Operations Manager.

How to Apply
1. Fleet Management
Coordinate vehicle usage, routing, and maintenance across SNV Uganda
Track fuel consumption, vehicle mileage, repairs, insurance, and driver performance
Prepare regular fleet reports (fuel, mileage, incidents) and ensure compliance with transport regulations
Manage vendor contracts related to vehicle maintenance, rentals, insurance, and fuel
Organise driver safety training (e.g., first aid, defensive driving)
2. Facilities Management
Oversee maintenance of SNV offices and project sites
Ensure a safe, clean, and functional work environment
Coordinate generator servicing, utility management, and property repairs
3. Asset Management
Maintain and update SNV Uganda’s asset register
Coordinate with regional offices for proper tracking and tagging of assets
Organise asset spot checks and prepare quarterly reports
Support asset disposal in collaboration with project and finance teams
4. Inventory & Stores Management
Oversee stores at the country office and manage inventory documentation (DNs, GRNs, SRNs, stock cards)
Conduct quarterly and year-end physical stock verifications
Ensure timely replenishment of office and cleaning supplies
5. Administrative Support
Maintain organised filing and archiving systems (e.g., vehicle logbooks and asset documents)
Support procurement planning, staff travel, visa/work permit tracking, and local accommodation arrangements
Assist with meeting setups and ensure smooth office operations
Welcome and support SNV staff and visitors with hospitality and logistical needs
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, HR, or related field
At least 5 years’ experience in logistics, administration, or operations support, preferably in an international organisation
Strong knowledge of asset management, inventory systems, procurement, and fleet coordination
Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools
Excellent communication in English and local languages

Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks efficiently
High attention to detail and accuracy
