Job Description
To develop, coordinate, implement and monitor procurement plans and procedures in accordance with the AAI/AAU Organisational policies. The role also involves managing general administration, transport, and administrative logistical support.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of policies and standard operating guidelines for procurement, general administration, transport, and travel.
- Develop and implement annual procurement plans in line with AAU’s and PPDA’s standards.
- Coordinate implementation of contracts/procurement procedures, participate in bid openings, and perform due diligence.
- Maintain records of stores and asset management including Delivery Notes and Goods Received Notes.
- Coordinate and ensure adequate security of people and organization assets.
- Track usage of AAU assets and make recommendations for replacement/disposal.
- Coordinate maintenance of AAU premises, office furniture, facilities, and utilities.
- Manage fleet maintenance, vehicle usage plans, and insurance renewals.
- Verify stock balances, initiate orders, and maintain up-to-date stores records.
- Write periodic reports regarding procurement performance and vehicle unit status.
