Job Description
The Accounts Officer will work closely with the Head of Credit/Internal Auditor to manage daily financial operations, including processing loan applications, collecting and recording payments, opening customer accounts, and investigating record discrepancies. The role requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual who is proficient with accounting systems and has a good understanding of accounting principles.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Process loan applications accurately and efficiently.
Compile and enter new account information into financial systems.
Collect customer deposits and fees, issue receipts, and maintain accurate transaction records.
Interview customers to gather and verify information for account opening.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer records.
Support general financial reporting and auditing processes as needed.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
CPA certification is mandatory.
Proficient in accounting software (especially QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluent in English.
Strong skills in customer service, administration, and basic accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
ACCA or similar professional certifications.
Experience in financial reporting or auditing is an added advantage.
Experience:
No prior work experience required (ideal for fresh graduates).
